Not All Great Plastic Surgeons Are Right for You

I want to tell you about Sheryl.

Sheryl did everything she was supposed to do. She researched her doctor thoroughly on social media. She felt confident in her decision — genuinely confident, not just hopeful. She scheduled a consultation, sat across from her surgeon and answered the question that every surgeon asks: "What is bothering you the most?"

Sheryl told him it was her jowls.

She had heavy jowling along her jawline, laxity in her face and neck — concerns that are incredibly common and absolutely addressable. Her surgeon recommended a deep plane facelift and necklift. She trusted him. She moved forward. She had her surgery.

And when it was over, her jowls were still there.

What we learned later — through a revision surgeon — was that the deep plane facelift had not reached the necessary vector to address the weight and position of Sheryl's specific jowling. It wasn't the technique that failed her. It was the match. Her surgeon, skilled as he was, was not equipped to perform the specific approach her anatomy required. And when Sheryl came back to him with her concerns, he didn't have a solution for her.

Sheryl had no way of knowing any of this going in. She didn't know that heavy jowls of that nature require a very specific surgical approach. She didn't know that not every surgeon who performs deep plane facelifts performs them the same way or with the same reach. She didn't know the questions to ask — because nobody had ever taught her how to ask them. She just knew what was bothering her most. And she trusted that would be enough.

It wasn't. And it shouldn't have had to be.

Sheryl is not an exception. In my own client population I have worked with many people who arrived with this exact story — a confident decision, a respected surgeon, a result that didn't deliver and a doctor who had no path forward for them. Every single time, the root of the problem was the same. Not incompetence. Not negligence. Misalignment. The wrong surgeon for that specific person, that specific anatomy, that specific goal.

This is what I exist to prevent.

When I work with a client I am not simply looking for a great surgeon. I am looking for the right surgeon — for them, for their face, their body, their goals and the very specific thing they need done. That requires a deep knowledge of who these surgeons are, how they work and what they are known for within the surgical community — knowledge I have spent years building so that you never have to.

"You deserve more than a great surgeon. You deserve yours."

Let's make sure you find them. I'm here when you're ready.
